I, Lilian Myers will always remember the Kolish twins easing the lonliness I had for my younger brothers at home when I was first married. I will also always appreciate Bert for his love for the Lord and his faithful walk with Him. Rest in peace, dear brother. May God comfort all of us who loved him.
So sorry that we are unable to attend Bert's funeral due to mobility issues but our thoughts and prayers are with the " farm neighbours to the north" at this sad time.
Family was a priority and Bert kept us updated on the latest pictures etc. We'll miss that. We remember the walks, playing catch, trip to Niagra Falls, the visits, etc. We had a coffee date slated @ the Bent Nail but that will have to be changed to the marriage supper of the Lamb when we meet again. Thanks for the memories Bert, we loved you and cherish the friendship we had.
Our deepest sympathy to Anita and the Kolish family. Bert left a wonderful legacy for us all through his writings and memoirs of early school days and life in the Vantage and Mossbank areas. This together with his strong faith and love for his family and community made Bert very special. We will all miss him very much.
With our love and prayers

Our condolences-- you couldn't ask for a better neighbour; he took pride in the appearance of his yard, was always pleasant and a very interesting man to converse with. We will miss him .
