It was with a heavy heart that we learned of the passing of our Aunt Arleen, to Gordon and family we want to express our deepest condolences. Aunt Arleen was always quick to smile and laugh and my cousins always gave her an opportunity to do so. The matriarch of a truly a wonderful family. I was there when Arleen met Gordon, I must have been 8 or 9 years old when sitting behind Arleens saddle at the Sitting Bull Trail ride. I tried to convince all the young cowboys that “She is my mom, you know...” to which she responded “We have to shut this kid up...”. Then when Callie was born I had to ask “So, which one of you is Baba and which one of you is Gido??” To which she responded “We have to shut this kid up”. Our get togethers at the coulee or at Christmas or at weddings were always huge for entertainment value- my Aunt Arleen truly earned all of her laugh lines, she will be truly missed by all. To Uncle Gordon and my cousins Corinne, Grady, Lorry, and Larry and families I want you know that we will keep a kind thought for you all during this tough time. With kindest regards, Mark, Tracey, Colby and Jacob Lawrysyn

I just want to say how sad I am to hear of Arleen's passing. She was always such a fun loving lady and quick to laugh. I too remember many times at the farm and being a little younger than Arleen, always looked up to her and enjoyed her company. Except for the time she drove to town through the fields full of grasshoppers and my friend and I were in the back seat getting covered by the hundreds of the jumping insect. To this day, my friend and I still are not fond of grasshoppers, but a memory I will never forget about my dear cousin Arleen. My loving thoughts are with you at this most difficult time to lose such a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. RIP Arleen xoxo
