Our deepest sympathy to the Dlouhy families. I have shared this story many times and I will again now to illustrate the generosity of this man. My daughter had a volleyball camp in Assiniboia about 10 years ago. I had other commitments so I couldn’t go. She had a ride with friends but needed a place to stay. I only knew one person in Assiniboia and I had not seen Penny or Tim since they moved from Whitewood many years before. But I called up Tim, re-introduced myself and asked if he had a spare couch for a few days for my daughter. He never hesitated in saying “Absolutely!” Then he casually mentioned he and Penny would be away but his daughter Jordan would be around and Carmen was to make herself at home. So off she went with gas money for the ride, an address and a few bags of Thinbread for the Dlouhys. I never saw Penny or Tim again to thank them in person but I have told that story many times just the same. Once again sincere condolences to Penny and her family.
